Converse - The Chet Atkins All Wah

When an invite for the Converse Hack-a-chuck competition arrived, there was no question as to whether we were going to get involved. Run in conjunction with Google and Creative Social, the brief was simple: Converse would send you a pair of Chuck Taylor All Stars, the world’s most popular sneaker and you could do anything you liked to them. We had a raft of ideas, but it the end, settled on turning one into a fully functioning wah wah pedal. I liked this for three reasons – it was neat, it was right on brand for Converse and I already had a natty name for the finish item – The Chet Atkins All Wah.

We won the competition. Better still, we went on to work with Converse and Cute Circuits to create a limited run of the All Wah for real. You can see the final product below.
